Barack’s Bad Judgement
On this morning’s edition of “Meet the Press,” Barack Obama once again established his position that he will not admit that the surge was a success. He continues to repeat the trite, and untrue, that we do not know what the result would have been had we followed his plan. We clearly can see that if we had pulled our troops out instead of sending more troops in, the result would be more violence and not less.
This is just one more example of Obama’s poor judgement. He made a comment about the Senate Banking Commitee being “my commitee.” This implies that he is at least a member of the commitee, if not the chairman. Neither is true. He sits on the Foreign Relations Commitee, but has never been overseas until his college road trip last week.
When asked why the vast majority of Americans think that John McCain would be a better commander in chief than he would, Obama blamed it on racism. “I don’t look like commanders in chief of the past,” Obama said. Obama also said that we need to do more to combat racism in this country. However, can we really claim that racism is a problem in this country when Barack Obama is a serious candidate for president?
Barack Obama also called Bill Clinton “one of the smartest men in politics, ever.” Really, the smartest? Does that not call into question what we can expect from an Obama presidency? Can we really expect a change in the way things are done if Obama’s role model is Bill Clinton? Let’s remember all of this when it come time to vote in November.
